As owners of two beautiful Goldens, we received many comments from neighbors while walking our
dogs. This further piqued our interest in breeding, so when the time was right, we allowed the two to
mate. The eight puppies were so cute and beautiful, and we found good homes for all eight. It wasn’t
long before the owners of our first litter asked when we might have more puppies as they had friends
that wanted a puppy just like theirs. As we carefully bred our goldens, these friends buying puppies
traveled from as far as San Francisco to pick up a new best friend. We are now on Scully’s fourth and
final litter with 12 puppies. Future litters will come from Mookie, one of Scully’s puppies.
Golden retrievers are one of America’s most popular dog breeds, as they are outgoing, trustworthy,
outgoing, affectionate with family, good with children, and good with other dogs. They are energetic
and powerful and enjoy obedience and are relatively easy to train. Goldens are eager-to-please family
dogs. They are hard working as hunting dogs, in search and rescue, and as guides for the blind. No
wonder Goldens are such a popular dog breed.
Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer. – Dean Koontz
